Home time, fundraising time

While soul winning is my favorite part of this mission, that’s the harvest part, visiting with family and friends is also deeply rewarding. The part I least enjoy is possibly the most necessary part; fundraising. I’ve always hated to ask anybody for anything,(a pride issue) I have to remember to humble myself and to remember that I’m not asking anything for myself but for God’s kingdom. When we give gifts of food and medicines in Jesus’ name and when we help widows and orphans in Jesus’ name I feel humbled to be allowed to be a part of what my Lord and Master is doing. I take much pride in my Jesus and what He has accomplished using reconditioned tools like me to work wonders. All the while understanding that without Him I can do nothing. Because God pulled me out of some of the filthiest mire and muck there is it would seem it might take quite some time to get me where I should be. Meanwhile I’m learning patience and not to take myself or my very flawed will too seriously.  We work as lowly field slaves in the fields of the King, The Most High God! Yes, God has many more servants, many of them much greater than I. He has jobs for all His servants if they will only go to work. We are not special to anyone except our Master, but that’s enough to make me shout and laugh for joy. We will be working to raise funds for the next 6 month trip to leave in January and we ask all of you to be in prayer as to how God wants you to take part in this mission and share in it’s fruit. Money is very helpful for acquiring needed supplies but your prayers are of equal or greater value. Please pray and ask my lord how He wants you to help in this work. Feel free to contact us with whatever God puts on your heart. No gift given in Jesus’ name can be too small, large, insignificant or too strange. We get little funding from churches and more from individuals, but we would like to appeal to all who feel led to participate, please do in whatever way you can. You have my personal guarantee and the Word of God to assure you that you won’t lose your reward in Heaven.
